UP woman accuses cop: A differently-abled widow from Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur district is on the lookout of her missing daughter.

She has alleged that she was forced to pay between Rs 10,000 and 15,000 so that the cops could fill diesel in their vehicle. The woman had to borrow money from her relatives for this purpose. 

The woman named Gudiya went to the Kanpur police chief on Monday to lodge a complaint against the 'errant officials.' She also opened up about her woes with the media personnel who were outside the commissioner's office. She said that her daughter has been missing for a month now and that the police were doing nothing to help her. up woman accuses cop

"The cops tell me 'we are looking'. Sometimes they shoo me away, cast aspersions on my daughter's character saying she must be at fault. The police say 'fill diesel in our vehicles and we will go looking for your daughter'," she said.

Gudiya also added that the police often tell her to 'get lost' whenever she arrives. She said that she has never bribed the police, but had to pay for the diesel on 3-4 occasions. Only one police personnel is trying to help her out. 

The Kanpur Nagar police have shared a video of the woman being taken to the police station on their Twitter handle. The tweet also said that four teams have been formed for getting back the missing girl.

Brajesh Kumar Shrivastava, a senior police official in Kanpur assured the media that they have already requested the concerned police station to investigate the matter. He also guaranteed that the woman's allegations will be investigated, and those guilty for wrongdoing will be punished. up

Shweta Jadeja, a sub-inspector from Ahmedabad was arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 20 lakh from a person who was accused of rape.
