Who was Mansi Shrivastav?

Mansi Shrivastav worked as a Senior Vice President, content acquisition, alliances and syndication at MX Player, one of India's popular video streaming platforms. Having been a part of the industry for around two decades, Shrivastav became a prominent name in the field and her achievements and career trajectory show her commitment to the profession.

She played an integral role in the creation of the country's biggest video-on-demand video service and helped the platform reach great heights in the past few years. Shrivastav had been battling Cancer for some time and she lost her life due to the disease on Sunday. Her former colleague Sunil Lulla shared the tragic news on LinkedIn. "Mansi was my finest Content Programming Manager at Times Television Network. She drove a hard bargain with facts, data, instinct and perspective, in all the years that we worked together," he wrote. Lulla mentioned how Shrivastav was approachable and helpful when it came to giving positive feedback and suggestions.

In a podcast titled Brand Called You, Mansi Shirvastav had shared her varied aspects of work and her understanding of content in the real sense. Stating how relevance and relatability are something that she believes make content work, she said, "What I look for is relevance. I believe there's an audience for the platform, and for MX, I understand the kind of content that would work here. At the same time, it's important for creators to make the content relatable so viewers can stick through it and not get whisked away," she said.

Shrivastav is known to have contributed immensely to the growth of some of the country's leading television channels like Movies Now, Romedy Now, Channel V and Zoom among others. She is known to have held a deeper knowledge and understanding of content nuances.
