A 4-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her principal’s driver in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills. The driver was allegedly sexually assaulting the minor for the past two months.
The 4-year-old is a kindergarten student at DAV Public School. The minor girl’s parents and the parents of other students gathered to protest and also beat up the driver, Rajinikumar.
The girl’s parents noticed a change in behaviour, and the minor was unusually quiet and depressed and would be found crying. After her mother spoke with her, they found out about the assault. Reportedly, she was raped in a digital classroom or lab near the principal’s chambers.

Her parents accompanied her to school on Tuesday and the minor girl pointed out the driver. After this, her parents filed a complaint and the man was arrested the same day. The girl was taken to the counselling centre, where she shared more details and was taken home later.
A case under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
According to a senior police official, the driver also handled odd jobs such as maintaining the school laboratories and running errands for staff members. Thus, the driver came in contact with students inside the school premises. The police are checking to see whether the accused harassed or abused any other students.
A video of the parents beating up the driver is also being shared on social media. Several parents also protested outside of the Banjara Hills police station. They demanded justice and punishment of the accused driver. The minor girl’s parents also demanded that the principal should be suspended.
Speaking with India Today TV, the mother said, “The principal should be sacked immediately… It might be a reputed school, but the principal herself isn’t good. What kind of people have they hired?”
