Seems like slut-shaming anyone online has become commonplace these days. Recently, actress Esha Gupta encountered scathing criticism when she posted a series of sensual photos on her Instagram account. In these pictures, she is seen wearing a bikini, and in one, flaunting her perfect topless bod.
Within no time, the beauty was trolled for posing in such bold pictures. While there are a large group of like-minded people who appreciated the actress, admiring her beauty, a few ‘so-called’ online activists are passing rude comments and criticizing Gupta’s choice of going nude publicly. For uploading such photos, some are even using abusive language with sexual undertones.
Anticipating such a backlash, the Rustom actress had already applied the disable option in the comments section, but the attacks continued. Trolls are slut-shaming her, even commenting that as an Indian, she is disgracing our culture, and that a shameless person like her will ruin the society.

Women actresses or models who are fierce and strongly believe in freedom of acts are often shamed online. If you have been observant, you’d find an extensive portion on social media sites that are used to criticize and humiliate celebrities. Very recently, Priyanka Chopra was trolled for exposing legs in front of PM Narendra Modi. It was only recently that Deepika Padukone was slammed for posting a photo shoot where she was asked if she is planning to “go against Indian culture”. Later, she was also trolled for looking “too thin” and was advised to “eat properly”.

As disturbing as it sounds, such slut shaming is becoming a common issue now.
The former Miss India International 2007, Esha Gupta, who was seen in films like ‘Humshakals’, ‘Jannat 2’ and many more, is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, ‘Baadshaho’ starring Vidyut Jamwal, Emraan Hashmi, Ajay Devgn and Illeana D’cruz. No surprise, but the entire team was dragged into controversy before its trailer was launched.
