Lately, she has been sharing articles and memes targeting the BJP and PM Modi as well, which could have resulted in such a behaviour.

Online bullies targeted her alleging that she had kept her actual identity ‘hidden’ in order to make political gains.

Khushbu Sundar, also known as Khushboo, was born as Nakhat Khan in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is known to have worked in as many as 200 movies in various languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Her identity was not unknown to the public, especially in the state of Tamil Nadu, where her fans even built a temple in order to honour her.

She received vicious attacks of words for her identity.

But she shut down the haters and also received a lot of support from her fans from around the globe.

Moreover, she faced a similar situation in October as well when the supporters from the Opposition party trolled and attacked her for her religion, and even then she slayed down the haters by saying, “Hey bhakts..u guys hve seriously gone nuts..my name is NAKHAT KHAN n I hvnt changed it.. so if u r discovering it now, must say u r too slow?”

Sadly, Social Media trolling of public figures is a trend in the country these days. Often, public figures, actors, Journalists have been at the receiving end of religious and sexual trolling. Further the viciousness against women on the internet has reached alarming proportions.
