Asian Investor conducted a research to find the 25 most influential women in asset management in Asia- excluding distributors and service providers. After an extensive selection process and hundreds of nominations, 100 women were shortlisted. Amongst the final 25, four were Indian.

 

Archana Hingorani- She is the CEO and Executive Director of IL&FS Investment Manager Limited. One of the founding members of IL&FS, she started off as an economist and then moved on to project finance, and finally asset management.

 

Lakshmi Iyer- She is the CIO, Kotak Mahaindra Asset Management. She has been with the company since 1999 and has been instrumental in conceiving various financial software tools for Indian markets.

Sheila Patel- She is the CEO of GSAM International. Previously a Strategist at Morgan Stanley’s research division, at Goldman Sachs Asset Management International Ltd. she is the head of Asia, excluding Japan, Co-Chief Executive of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She is also an MBA graduate from Columbia University.

 

Renuka Ramnath- Founder of Multiples alternative Asset Management, Ramnath pioneered the establishment of ICICI Eco-Net Limited before she turned entrepreneur. Last year, she was in the India's Most Powerful CEOs’ list.
