There’s not much encouragement for women agents and surely not many reports out that would show how well this profession could be for women because this particular world seems to conduct its business in the shadows.

The full ad reads: “Wanted: Women of strength. We don’t care what you’ve done, we care about who you are!”

As per the BBC report, 40 per cent women already work under Mossad now, and with 24 per cent of them chairing in key senior roles. Currently, at the official website, it was clearly written in a graphical form with the face of a woman obscured in shadow, that the spy organization is recruiting in a very open campaign to seek out more women into its ranks.

An unusual way of hiring for a spy organization, the agency is particularly on the hunt for new intelligence-gathering women officers.

"Contrary to stereotypes, you see that women's abilities are superior to men in terms of understanding the territory, reading situations, spatial awareness. When they're good, they're very good," the then-agency chief said.

The official website has also made a separate column for aspirants to apply for jobs in the agency’s operations, intel, staff and technological departments.

While a male version of the ad was also there, according to the Ynet news website, for the first time ever, the agency is publicly showing the recruitment effort targeting females only. Does that mean Mossad too is geared up for gender equality amidst the worldwide spearhead of women empowerment campaign?

For those of you who are unaware, Mossad is the international arm of Israel's intelligence service which was founded in 1949. The agency is known for its secret assassins and feared as the most dangerous intelligence services in the world. The agency is famous for its daring operations and infamous for its cold-blooded murder. It first caught global attention during the time of the capture of Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann in 1960 in Argentina.
