'Husn Hai Suhana' from 'Coolie No.1': Another Trying Remake

The remake of Coolie No. 1 starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan is all set to release in December. The promotions of the movie have been trending all over the internet. This movie is the remake of the hit 1995 film of Govinda and Karishma Kapoor in the lead that went by the same name.

The songs of the remake movie are being released one after the other. Its first song titled Teri Bhabhi was released the previous week.

The song Husn Hai Suhana is the second song from the movie that has been released. This song was a hit from the original 1995 film with Govinda's elegant moves and Karishma Kapoor's charisma.

Recreating the Govinda-Karishma Kapoor magic

In the remake track, Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan are seen grooving to the tunes of the dance number in a luxury hotel room. Sara Ali Khan's on-screen sister played by Shikha Talsani also shakes her leg with Dhawan in the music video.

The remix of Husn Hai Suhana is recreated by Tanishk Bhagchi while the vocals are the same as the original. Chandana Dixit and Abhijeet Bhattacharya are the original singers and the lyrics are by Sameer Anjaan. Anand Milind had produced the Govinda-Karishma Kapoor song back in 1995.

One More Remake!

Unlike the original track, the remake has all the details of a millennial song. From the luxurious locations to modern music techniques, this song is unique. But it seemed as if it was trying too hard to keep the essence of the original. Definitely, the energy of Dhawan clearly reflects the trippy number. Sara Ali Khan too shines with her looks and dance. Evidently, the actors have pushed to their limits of skills and have done well.

But as an audience, there was nothing unique to look forward to from the song. Like most of the other remakes, this one too did not reach up to the expectations of the hype. One could conclude that it is high time that Bollywood starts producing more original content. If you are a Govinda fan, then you might be totally disappointed by the song.
