Farhan Akhtar's Birthday Post For Shibani: "I’d Fight The Strongest Currents For You"

Shibani Dandekar turned 42 today, and to mark the special day, her husband, actor Farhan Akhtar, shared their picture and penned a heartfelt note on Instagram. Dandekar and  Akhtar got married earlier this year in February.

In the picture, the two are posing while standing with a prop boat. Akhtar can be seen sporting a black coat over a black kurta and monochromatic striped leggings. Dandekar is also shown sporting a black satin coat over black satin slacks.

Sharing a picture Akhtar penned a heartfelt note that says, “Dear life partner, some days you steer, some days you navigate, some days you get us to put down our oars and take a break, take in the view, just breathe. I’d fight the strongest currents for you as I know you would for us. Happy birthday my beautiful co-traveler. Love you. @shibanidandekarakhtar."

Dandekar replied to the post on the actor's comment section and wrote, “Love you my partner for life. Couldn’t imagine being on this journey without you. You make everything better! Now learn to let me steer always."

Farhan Akhtar And Shibani Dandekar Love Story

On the set of the TV show I Can Do That, where Dandekar was a contestant and Akhtar served as host, the two actors got to know one another for the first time in 2015. At the time, he was married to Adhuna Bhabani, with whom he shares two daughters, Shakhya and Akira. Akhtar and  Bhabani announced their separation in 2016, and officially divorced in 2017.

Before getting hitched on February 19, 2022, Akhtar and Dandekar dated for approximately four years. The couple wed at Javed Akhtar's farmhouse in Khandala. The couple's close friends and relatives attended their private wedding ceremony with them.

In March, after Dandekar shared a photo of herself with Akhtar in which she was wearing a shimmery golden attire, her pregnancy rumours started to spread due to her slightly bloated stomach. The actor refuted the rumours on her Instagram story, though. She wrote, “I am woman! I am nottttt pregnant! It was the tequila."

The couple is currently in Sydney, attending a friend's wedding.
