She said the harassment started when she shared a cab ride with Price and another executive Michael Paull. This was after a staff party that they had been to in San Diego.

In the cab ride, Price said obscene things to her. Hackett had already told him that she was not interested. She is a lesbian with a wife and child. But Price was relentless in his harassment, Hackett says.

She did not want to speak out about the harassment before because she was still producing two shows with Amazon.

Hacket says that she did not want the details of the sexual harassment to come out because they would distract and deflate the energies of all the people who are so invested in the shows. She said it would be demoralizing.

Amazon has inquired into Price’s behaviour, but Hackett says that she was never told the results of the inquiry

Price has been suspended indefinitely by Amazon.

A few days ago, Rose McGowan also came out on Twitter saying that Price had ignored her claims about movie producer Harvey Weinstein.

“We take seriously any questions about the conduct of our employees. We expect people to set high standards for themselves; we encourage people to raise any concerns and we make it a priority to investigate and address them. Accordingly, we looked closely at this specific concern and addressed it directly with those involved,” said an Amazon spokesperson.

Hackett says the incident felt shocking and surreal to her. She says that there is a dire need for more diversity and inclusion, in an interview with Hollywood Reporter.
