The International Conventional Hall at Bombay Stock Exchange looks sharp, and filled with nervous excitement. The D-Day is here! 13 teams of women entrepreneurs have gone through 6 weeks of workshops and training to pitch their venture and their idea to win funding from Zone Startups.

“The experience has been extremely enriching. I’ve met so many women who have left their corporate jobs to give their idea a chance to shine! We’re all here because we believe in ourselves and want to make this world a better place with our ideas”, says Renu who is the founder of Vanity Cube.

The event comprises of a panel discussion that will touch upon the topic of women in entrepreneurship followed by the pitches by the teams.

In the course of 6 weeks, these women have learnt various skills that will help them expand their business along with ideas that are going to erase the hurdles they have faced till now.

Saagarika, Co-Founder of Primitus Technology says, “Being an introvert, networking did not come easy to me, but Empower has helped me overcome that obstacle in a huge way.”

Smita Mishra from Pool Wallet talks about the mentors that have helped her overcome some difficulties with her product. She says, “The mentors in the program have been amazing to learn from. One of them even took the time out after the workshop to give me screen-to-screen explanation of things I could improve in my product.”
