She played the badass lead in XXX- Return of Xander Cage, and now actor Deepika Padukone couldn’t be more happier! She is prepared to set foot on the global platform after being nominated for a Teen Choice Award 2017 in the Choice Movie Actress category.

The 31-year-old actress’ name was spotted in the official Twitter page of the Awards show, where they posted a photo of the nominations list, which specifically calls Deepika’s name, bagging a spot for her role as Selena Unger in xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

For her debut role in the big Hollywood venture, she received accolades from all over the world. The Bajirao Mastani star has been nominated in the list, which includes the recent Wonder Woman Gal Gadot, who is making the world go crazy with her superwoman avatar, xXx co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose, Michelle Rodriguez for Fate of the Furious and Kaya Scodelario for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Deepika has wonderfully managed to take a spot in the A-list where her co-star and film’s lead actor Vin Diesel has also been nominated for Choice Action Movie Actor. But being nominated against Gal Gadot itself a big achievement for the Indian star as for her recently released movie, Gal has received much critical acclaim. If rumours are to be believed, Gal is preparing for a sequel too.

Sadly, Priyanka Chopra’s fans will be disappointed to know that she has not bagged a nomination. However, her co-star Dwayne Johnson has been chosen for three categories.

Deepika reportedly has been signed up for the sequel to xXx : Return of Xander Cage as well, which will be part of the fourth installment of the xXx franchise. Director DJ Caruso confirmed that she will soon be meeting the cast to discuss the role further.

As for Bollywood goes, Deepika will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Padmavati, where she would be seen playing the ​titular character. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
