Following Kahaani’s great success, the first poster of its sequel came out this week. Sujoy Ghosh, the film's director, put it up on his Twitter account. The first one of the series had completely blown our minds away with its twists and turns, but this one seems to be one step ahead.
The poster shows the photo of a missing woman played by Vidya Balan. Her name in the film is Durga Rani Singh and it is a mystery whether she is acting as a fugitive or not. The poster displays her age as 34 and other details of the character like how a ‘wanted’ person’s posters are put up, describing their physical features. Vidya is apparently wanted for kidnapping and murder in the film. She has no makeup on in the poster.
The film also stars Arjum Rampal and is coming to the theatres on December 2.
The first look of the film shows a path-breaking point in Bollywood where a female actor is playing on her strong acting skills rather than her looks. Vidya is on another journey of shattering some serious stereotypes in Bollywood with this one.
