New Update

A 21-year-old man is one among two men who have given birth in Britain. Hayden Cross was in the midst of changing his gender, but he put it on hold in order to get pregnant by a sperm donor. He has been living legally as a man for three years, but paused his transition after the National Health Service refused to fund 4000 pounds to freeze his eggs. So he found a sperm donor via Facebook and became pregnant.

Hayden was born a girl 21 years ago and grew up in Gloucester.

“All I have ever wanted is to be a dad,” Cross told The Sun. Being a dad all came naturally to me. As soon as I held her my paternal instincts just kicked in."

Another transgender man, Scott Parker came out to say that he was actually the first to give birth, and gave birth to his daughter 7 weeks before Cross did. Parker became pregnant after a one night stand and also delayed his transition to give birth.

Both men are listed as the mother on their babies’ birth certificates. Parker even fought to be listed as the father, according to the Daily Mail, but his request wasn’t adhered to. Kudos to these brave men, who are redefining what it means to be a dad, and a man.
