Sena corporator Samadhan Sarvankar has demanded that the municipal commissioner file a Rs 500 crore defamation suit against the FM channel for targeting the BMC.

And now the BMC has sent a notice to RJ Malishka’s mother for mosquito breeding at her house in Bandra. It has issued a notice under section 381 B of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC) Act and has said that mosquito breeding was found in a clay bowl kept under a pot, and that mosquitoes were being bred in plant pots outside the Pali Naka flat. Ward officer of Bandra, Sharad Ughade, said that the notice was issued after the BMC carried out a “routine inspection in Bandra on Tuesday.”

The BMC can take legal action against the owners for the breeding, sources said.

Sarvankar who was so upset by her song has said in a letter that "The song did not name the Shiv Sena directly, but it hurts us that Mumbai’s and the BMC’s image is unnecessarily taking a hit. The two main highways of Mumbai don’t come under the BMC and it is not responsible for Mumbai’s traffic or the functioning of its railways.”

The song, Mumbai Tula BMC Var Bharso Naye Ka, means Mumbai Don't You Have Faith in the BMC, went viral on YouTube. It talks about how the highways in the city are not well maintained and the various commuting issues Mumbaikars have to face.

Malishka who is currently out of the country thanked her supporters on Twitter.

SheThePeople.TV reached out to the RJ, and is yet to receive a comment.
